This Privacy Policy describes how Alpha Background Remover (the "App") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

• Shopify shop domain, email address, owner name, and installation scopes.
• OAuth session tokens to authenticate and communicate with the Shopify Admin API.

Note on Image Processing: The App processes your product images locally in the user's browser using CPU/GPU WebAssembly technology. Your images are never uploaded, processed, or stored on our external servers. They are modified directly on your local device.

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the collected information only to:

• Provide and run the App interface within your Shopify admin panel.
• Save processed images directly back to your selected Shopify catalog products.
• Maintain the connection and configuration of your store sessions securely.

3. Data Retention and Erasure (GDPR Compliance)

We retain your store installation metadata only as long as the App is installed. If you uninstall the App, your store metadata and keys are automatically deleted from our secure database within 48 hours.

We fully comply with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (GDPR Requirements):

• Customer Data Requests / Deletion: The App does not store or maintain customer personal data. Any customer deletion requests received via Shopify webhooks are immediate and require no manual cleanup since we store no customer files.
• Shop Data Redaction: When a store uninstalls our application, store scopes and connection sessions are entirely deleted from our databases.

4. Security

We are committed to securing your data. All database connections and api transfers are fully encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS connections.
